| The NEW
Escort5580TC increases the home automation capabilities
of DSC's award winning Power832 security system.
Designed specifically to work with DSC's EMS-100
thermostat, the new Escort5580TC module provides all the
home automation features of the standard Escort5580
module PLUS heating and air conditioning control.
The Escort5580TC turns any touch tone phone - local
or remote - into a fully functional keypad with full
voice prompting and using line carrier technology,
provides the additional ability to control heating, air
conditioning, lighting, electric locks and gates.
Controlled devices can be activated manually and also
can be programmed to operate on system events and/or by
pre-determined schedules.
The EMS-1 00 is a full-featured, standalone
electronic thermostat that can be connected to the
Escort5580TC module for remote status monitoring and
control of heating and air conditioning systems.
Optional indoor and outdoor sensors are also available.
The EMS100 senses indoor air temperature and up to six
EMS-ITS sensors can be connected to provide temperature
averaging. The EMS-OTS senses outdoor air temperature
via an exterior wired probe. The six buttons on the
front of the unit allow complete control of the
thermostat. The Power832LCD keypad can also be used to
control the thermostat and display current indoor and
outdoor temperatures.
